About Us
At Surviving to Thriving Therapy, my mission is to help you not just survive, but truly thrive. I am dedicated to offering accessible, affordable, and high-quality care for those who have faced systemic oppression and struggled to access the support they deserve.
I am passionate about supporting individuals in the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+ communities, as well as anyone beginning their recovery journey from life's unique challenges. Whether you're navigating the effects of past trauma, living with depression or anxiety, or healing from an eating disorder, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to heal at your own pace. No matter where you are in your journey, I am here to walk alongside you with care, compassion, and unwavering support. You deserve to be celebrated for who you are, never just tolerated.
I understand that healing is deeply personal, and traditional diagnoses and therapeutic methods may not always be the right fit for everyone. That’s why I offer a personalized approach, tailored to your unique needs. Together, we will explore your individual path to healing, working as partners to find what truly resonates with you.
Why Surviving to Thriving Therapy?
At Surviving to Thriving Therapy LLC, I understand the unique challenges individuals face when navigating the mental health system. With both professional expertise and personal lived experience, I am aware of how we can be retraumatized within the very systems meant to support us. Survivors of abuse, trauma, and those facing systemic barriers often feel overlooked, dismissed, or invalidated. Seeking help is hard enough, and your journey shouldn’t be made more difficult by professionals who don’t fully grasp your internal experience.
Individuals who are neurodivergent or who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ deserve more than to simply find professionals with lived experience. You deserve an inclusive, empowering, and affirming therapeutic space that recognizes your identity, strengths, and unique challenges. Unfortunately, the mental health system often falls short in meeting these needs, and I am committed to changing that.
For those recovering from eating disorders, the system often lacks the understanding of body image, societal pressures, and the harmful impact of diet and wellness culture. Many recovery spaces fail to consider cultural backgrounds and personal experiences in the healing process. Similarly, for those dealing with persistent depression and anxiety, it’s common to feel misunderstood or as if you are letting others down. Sometimes, traditional therapeutic approaches miss the root causes of these conditions, especially when systemic oppression is not acknowledged.
I believe the mental health system can and must do better to serve those it was designed to help. My mission is to ensure that negative experiences are the exception, not the norm, and to help dismantle the barriers that prevent access to meaningful support. It’s not enough to just change the system; it’s about creating spaces where healing can truly happen.
Like the phoenix, you deserve the ability to rise from the ashes of your past, burning away old, unhelpful narratives to emerge renewed and empowered. I’m here to walk alongside you, providing unwavering support as you take each step toward the life you deserve—stronger, more authentic, and fully in control of your own journey.
