Unmasking in Community: A Neurodivergent-Affirming Process Support Group

Living in a world that often misunderstands or overlooks neurodivergent experiences can lead to exhaustion, disconnection, and the feeling that you have to hide who you are just to get by. This group was created to offer something different—a space where your neurodivergence is not only accepted but genuinely affirmed.

Unmasking in Community is a 10-week process support group for neurodivergent adults who are looking to connect with peers, process shared experiences, and grow in self-understanding and relational confidence.

This group is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming principles and uses tools that support healing through self-acceptance, community, and evidence-based skills.

What to Expect Each Week

Each 60-minute session includes:

  • A brief review of group agreements to support safety and mutual respect

  • A neurodivergent-affirming topic of the week to guide reflection and conversation

  • An Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) skill that you can practice between sessions

  • A structured space to process challenges and successes from the past week

  • Opportunities to give and receive feedback, practice asking for support, and celebrate progress

A closing reflection to review key takeaways and identify ongoing goals

We’ll draw from two highly respected, neurodivergent-centered resources:

  • Devon Price’s Unmasking for Life, offering thoughtful prompts and scripts for exploring identity, authenticity, and self-trust

  • The Neurodivergent Skills Workbook for Autism and ADHD, providing accessible tools for executive functioning, communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation

These resources help guide our discussions while allowing space for your unique experiences and insights.

Who This Group is For

This group is ideal for you if you:

✅ Are looking for a supportive space to explore your neurodivergent identity without pressure to mask or “fix” yourself

✅ You want to build confidence in relationships and develop practical tools for self-advocacy, regulation, and communication

✅ You’re tired of feeling “othered” or isolated and want to connect with people who truly understand

✅ You’re ready to process real-life challenges while growing in self-compassion and self-trust

✅ You want to feel more empowered in your daily life, while reducing anxiety, shame, and burnout

Why This Group Matters

This isn’t just a skills group or a social group—it’s a space for healing through connection. Together, we’ll unlearn the idea that your value is based on how well you “blend in,” and replace it with something far more meaningful: self-acceptance, community, and belonging.

You don’t need to go through this alone. In this group, you’ll be met with respect, curiosity, and care from others who get it.

You deserve a space where you can show up fully as yourself.
This group was created for you.
